AmebaSystems is the iniciative of a group of independent professionals of the IT sector. Our objective is to promote the use of Linux as the operating system in Embedded systems. Our software makes it easier for developpers to work towards that end, much like the software offered by other widely-known companies like Montavista, TimeSys, and Windriver does. However, all AmebaSystem's projects are strongly oriented to the open source community and have a solid background in research and development.
AS bases its work on three premises:
- Free Board Support Packages based on the OpenEmbedded meta distribution for a set of development kits of diverse architectures, which will serve as a reference platform for future products.
- Research and development: complies with the Consumer Electronics Linux Forum (CELF) iniciative, with the goal of progressing along the line of the aforementioned iniviative.
- Prototypes Lab: AS presents real solutions using the BSP kits as a reference. You can find different fully functional prototypes.
As aims to contribute to the open source community in an altruistic way. If you want to colaborate with us, please don't hessitate to contact us. We are looking forward to receive colaboration and to hear all kinds of suggestions.
How to contribute
- reporting bugs, adding new ideas for our BSP, suggesting new functionalities or enhancements.
- AS accepts hw donations for the developments. All the work behind AS is defraid with the personal and economic effort of individual proffesionals for the community, for this reason any help to acquire diferent kinds of materials is welcomed.
